I’m not sure what marketing “genius” is whispering in the ears of the corporate execs, but this here-now-gone-again routine is getting rather tiring. ![]() ![]() It is not particularly spicy (like most Taco Bell items), but the enchilada sauce gives it some extra zing and it has always been one of my favorites (just add some Fire or Diablo sauce to kick it up).īut as you would expect from the Bell, this is returning for only a limited time. The Enchirito was a staple on the Taco Bell menu for many years, but then it bounced on and off before disappearing completely about ten years ago. It is a beef and bean burrito covered in a red enchilada sauce and topped with shredded cheese (the original also had sliced black olives, but it looks like those will not be included in the revival). The Enchirito is a classic that first appeared on the Bell’s menu in 1970. The votes have been tallied and the latter (which was the one I voted for) will be returning to the menu. Last week, Taco Bell asked people to vote for the return of one of two discontinued items: the Double-Decker Taco or the Enchirito.
